What children did during the great DEPRESSION
Many children had difficult lives growing up the great depression. Hundreds of thousands of kids left home in search of work to help support their family. Most kids would sneak onto rail cars at night or even while they were moving to travel across the country. Although not all kids were in search of work some where runaways just for the adventure. Because their parents had most likely lost their jobs families more often than not couldn't afford to feed or even house their children and they were forced to leave home at a young age.
life in the great depression
Life for me would change drastically if a great depression would occur. Any sports or activities including school would be thrown out the window. I would have to start working and riding the rails to search for work to help provide for my family.
